What exactly is Amazake?
Literally meaning “sweet sake” in Japanese, Amazake is a traditional dessert made using three simple ingredients: water, rice, and sea salt.
These ingredients are fermented using traditional methods and an agent called koji, which transforms the grains into sugars to produce the sweet, pleasant flavour that characterises Amazake.
To enjoy it as a hot beverage, simply dilute it with hot water, strain and enjoy!

United Kingdomstrange but nice
I'd read about Amazake but had no idea what this would be like. Its kind of hard to describe but its sweet and a bit fermented tasting in a subtle way. i ate some alone and also tried it ina smoothie which added a nice sweetness. probably buy again when i finish this one.
