Biona is very conscious about what materials are used to package its products. It endeavours to ensure that a minimal amount of plastic is used. A lot of Biona’s products, including its organic fruit spreads, are packaged in glass jars which can either be recycled or reused. It has removed BPAs from its canned goods and is currently investigating the use of corn-starch based biodegradable plastics as shrink wrap.
