Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Clearspring’s wakame come from?

Native to the cold coasts of the northwest Pacific Ocean, wakame is a species of kelp that Clearspring sources in Japan. With it, Clearspring creates its Japanese Wakame Dried Sea Vegetable. Once cultivated, it is dried which gives it its brownish colour. Once it is soaked it regains its bright green hue. Known for its pleasant flavour and distinctive texture, wakame is very commonly used in Japanese cuisine.
